• Collaborate with the TU Munich research team in the FORTHCOMING EU project to adapt the MITO travel-demand model to the Lisbon metropolitan area, owning the pipeline from raw census data to operational baseline scenarios.
• Generated a synthetic population of 2.87M agents and 1.1M households (IPU fitting against census data) and estimated nested-logit mode-choice models from 80,000+ travel-survey trips.
• Ran policy simulations on the calibrated model: bridge-closure impact, zero-emission zones and telework scenarios.

Research Student

Quantum Photonics Lab, Instituto de Telecomunicações — Lisbon, Portugal

• Implemented a quantum-inspired optical classifier on a single-lens setup; proposed and evaluated the HS Frobenius distance metric, gaining 10 p.p. accuracy over classical linear baselines on MNIST.
• Built the experimental control stack (spatial light modulator + camera synchronisation) and open-sourced the simulation framework.
• Co-authoring a journal manuscript on the method (in preparation); work graded 20/20 as BSc thesis.
